Service Above Self
Dana DeVance is a member of The Rotary Club of Dallas, celebrating 100 years of Service Above Self in April 2011! In addition to the numerous local service projects, The Rotary Club of Dallas also contributes to Rotary International, which serves our country and the world through service projects such as End Polio Now, clean water wells in Africa and the Phillipines, and recently the efforts to aid Japan after the tragic and devastating earthquakes and tsunamis.
Education
We are strong supporters of education in our local community through our involvement in The Rotary Club of Dallas. Dana DeVance serves as a mentor to a talented senior at Woodrow Wilson High School who graduated in May 2011 and will begin her college career in the Fall! The mentorship program is called the DREAM Team. Dana's young scholar Eliana aspires to be a PR and Marketing extraordinnaire in the future, and we all believe she will be the best she can be at anything she puts her mind to!
Dana also currently serves as 2011 Co-Chairman for the annual Rotary Club of Dallas DISD Outstanding Teacher Awards, in which cash prizes are awarded to teachers in DISD who have exemplified service above self and excellence in their work with students. This committee is very important personally to Dana because many of her family members are educators and coaches, and she feels it is so important to recognize and reward outstanding teachers for widespread positive influence in the lives of thier students and future generations.
Green Living and Accountability to the Environment
Part of our mission at DeVance AV Design, is to responsibly recycle outdated electronics and accessories to ensure toxins and hazardous byproducts don't end up polluting our planet. This is one of the many ways we contribute to a greener lifestyle.
Also, by the very nature of our business, a major bonus we offer our clients is a more efficient lifestyle through energy efficient systems such as lighting control (which can reduce your energy usage by as much as 10 - 15% alone!) and drapes and shade controls, which especially when used on a West-facing wall, will significantly help preserve comfortable temperatures within the home with minimal energy expenditure! With power surge protection, conditioning, and now control, we can also program your subsystems to power down upon command or on a schedule to ensure that when not in use, there is maximum energy conservation.
Support Our Troops
Matt and Dana DeVance have contributed to the Dallas USO over 600 DVDs and CDs to help keep the troops and their families entertained! The gift was presented in 2010 in the form of three large boxes of decending sizes, wrapped in red, white, and blue gift paper with a giant red bow on top! The presentation took place at a Rotary Club of Dallas meeting along with a check showing a donation of funds raised by Rotarians specifically for the DFW USO. We continue to support our troops also through the Salute to America's Veterans program held annually at the Frontiers of Flight Museum near Dallas Love Field. We support the men and women who are serving our country to preserve our freedoms in the land of opportunity!

A brief history of our business:
Our owner, Matt DeVance, has always had a passion for all things high-tech, having extensive experience in the custom audio and video industry beginning in 1996. Matt decided to venture out on his own in 2002, when he officially began DeVance AV Design. Matt had won his clients’ trust over the years by meticulously designing their custom home entertainment systems specifically to accommodate their unique family’s needs and desires, and most of these long-term relationships continue to flourish today.
Matt’s philosophy has always been to treat his clients with the utmost respect and to listen to the distinctive needs and wishes of each individual family. He has always designed entertainment systems with the client’s specific vision in mind and his business has grown steadily over the years based almost entirely upon word of mouth referrals from these very happy clients.
In 2007, Matt’s wife Dana DeVance became co-owner and operator of DeVance AV Design, and together Dana and Matt began to grow his business even more. In June 2007, DeVance AV Design became incorporated and we began to develop our support team. The company consists of a small group of classy individuals who serve in various capacities to support the DeVance AV Design vision to offer the best quality products in the home audio video industry and to offer superior client services to ensure the complete satisfaction of our clients and their families for years to come. Our team consists of both Matt and Dana DeVance as President and Vice President, Traci Gardner, DeeDee Williamson, and Justin Burkhaulter as our Systems Design Consultant.
